About Circles of Trust
“Courage is to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart…” (Brené Brown)
Many of us who are involved in leadership, education, health care, community work, and public service feel we were originally ‘called’ to this work in some way. Perhaps we had a strong sense of its value, or we felt a commitment to help others, or we took delight in helping people flourish.
But we also know that maintaining our sense of commitment can be deeply challenging, just as the work itself on a day-to-day basis can be challenging.
Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal in the U.S. have worked to develop a unique approach to renewing personal identity and professional integrity in the form of ‘Circles of Trust’®. These retreat-based programmes have been offered in many contexts. As a facilitator prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal, Growing Edges now offers a number of opportunities to join retreats here in the U.K.
We offer Circles of Trust® retreat programmes for personal and professional renewal as developed by renowned writer, educator and speaker, Parker J. Palmer and the U.S.-based Center for Courage & Renewal.
Come and discover a different way of exploring identity, integrity and resilience at work and in community…
One size doesn’t fit all, so if you are an organisation or group who’s looking for something tailored to fit your context and needs, get in touch for a chat. So far we’ve custom-built sessions and events for organisations as diverse as Schumacher College, The Irish Foster Care Association, The Forest Trust and The Mindfulness Association. And we like exploring how Circles of Trust approaches can lend themselves to different settings!
